Malago Canyon
Bristol’s outlaw country heroes
Malago Canyon are a five piece outlaw country outfit who have been raiding the Bristol music scene with their mix of original songs steeped in gunfights, heartbreak, and dusty trail storytelling, alongside timeless country covers.
Playing since 2022, telecaster bite, steel guitar soul, and layered harmonies define their signature sound.
Album news
The wait is nearly over! Our debut album, Malago Canyon, comes out in December. Featuring all originals from the pens of Elliott and Terry.
To celebrate, we’re hosting an exclusive album launch party at The Louisiana on Wednesday, 9th December. It’s promising to be a great night with a live performance of tracks from the new album, together with an incredible supporting lineup featuring The Sellouts and Aaron James.
Please note: this is a ticketed event. Tickets are available at headfirst, with a special early-bird discount for the keener fans.
Listen
Ahead of the album we’ve already released new tracks Tombstone and Deadwood as singles and they’re available on all your favourite streaming platforms.
Who we are
Terry
Superlatives hadn’t even been invented when he first picked up a guitar, and Terry‘s timeless grooves and punching solos effortlessly underpin the band’s hard rocking sound.
Elliott
Elliott oozes country style. Always dressed immaculately for the occasion, his velvety lead vocals and masterfully crafted original songs are the beating heart of Malago Canyon’s music.
Martin
Multi-instrumentalist Martin brings new depth to the band. From his mandolin chops to his silky steel guitar licks and twangy Dobro sound, there’s something new from Martin in every song.
Paul
Leading the percussion and putting the rhythm into the band’s sound, Paul can also sometimes be seen as the eponymous front man of Reverend Bob and the Devil-May-Cares.
Jerry
After cutting his musical teeth as a longtime bluegrass double bassist, Jerry (not real name, long story) was seduced to the electric side by Malago Canyon’s powerful sound. A multi-genre artist also producing quirky electronic sounds as his other alter ego Jerbit.
